CSO Campus Safety Escort Service
|
The CSO Safety Escort Program is a free service provided to all students, faculty and community members during the evening and early morning hours. The safety escort service is based on the "buddy" system and the objective is to provide a safer mode of transportation through campus and Isla Vista. This is accomplished by sending Community Service Officers to walk or bike with you to your destination.

UPDATE: FSH Storke Balconies Construction Update as of Feb 22, 2022
The update on the emergency construction project ongoing at Storke Family Student Housing as of Feb 22, 2022: Inspections for the 218 balconies yet to be modified have been completed. Construction on the first block of balconies to be modified will begin on March 21, 2022.
REMINDER: For your safety, do not access these balconies until further notice. This includes Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). Please keep the doors to these balconies closed at all times. If you would like to adjust your shutters, we ask that you do so from inside your apartment without stepping out onto the balcony. Students can reserve study/instructional spaces in their neighborhoods or on campus. You can find more information about the process to reserve these locations on the Family Student Housing website. We apologize for any inconveniences. |

All residents must refrain from accessing these small balconies until further notice. Please keep the doors to these balconies closed at all times. Residential Operations is actively working with Design & Construction Services and structural engineers on correcting this safety concern as soon as possible. |

Do Not Tamper with Smoke Detectors
UCSB Housing Terms and Conditions for Fire Safety and Emergency Equipment states that it is a misdemeanor to tamper or interfere
with fire alarm pull stations, smoke and heat detectors, fire extinguishers, hoses, fire sprinkler systems and EXIT signs and lights. Please complete a Get It Fixed online maintenance request or contact the RA On-call (805-451-1660) after-hours, holidays, or weekends. |
